That’s the basic common sense!
I never thought that I will ever have to write a blog on this topic.
But sadly, common sense has become uncommon in today’s age of reels. Without doing proper research, tourists have started flocking unknown places and started getting scammed.
I completely agree that Instagram has transformed the way we discover new destinations. With its visually captivating reels, the platform has inspired millions to pack their bags and set out for places they’ve never even heard of before.

It is a game where one person has their eyes covered and must try to identify other players by touch, often with the added element of being spun around to disorient them. In this game there is a risk of dashing into unknown objects like wall or any other furniture piece.
Tourists who flock unknown destinations without doing any research and falling into dangerous problems remind me of this game.
Blind traveling refers to the act of embarking on a trip or journey without conducting any prior research or planning. I had came across an news article written by Hindustan Times about a woman getting scammed in Kazakhstan.
The above incident could be easily avoided by reading Kazakhstan travel blogs/travel guides. Many blogs cover about the airport taxi scams in Kazakhstan and also provide extensive information on how to avoid them.
Instagram reels portray Kazakhstan as a complete mountain & lake paradise & it’s picture perfect landscapes. Offcourse, Kazakhstan is a beautiful country in Central Asia. But instagram reels don’t show the rugged terrain & the challenges of travelling to Kazakhstan.
